Jessie Santiago and Cal Bigari are the owners of Salon Benders in Long Beach, CA. As Jessie and Cal would say, “Our space is more than a salon: It's an assortment of our favorite things brewed together and poured into our favorite mug.” Benders’ mission is to create an environment for people to explore and express their individual styles and gender expressions by providing top-quality services in hair, makeup, education, and training while actively supporting art, expression, and queer communities alongside their allies in Long Beach and beyond. This episode dives into the intricacies of “TRANSformation” and the deeper connection between health and hair. For queer people, it’ more than just a haircut.
